Sciatic Nerve

Well, yesterday during my sons nap,
I decided to walk my usual mile on the treadmill.

that was short-lived.

I started getting a pain in my right butt cheek (aka my hip)
It was my sciatic nerve being pinched.

this baby is totally different than my first one.
I have back pain, more frequent bathroom trips
& now this sciatic nerve thing.

I have gotten lots of tips from
chiropractor to
massage to
how to stand to
exercises to
heat to
cold compress to
be lazy.

I am trying not to stand with my back arched.
This seems to help.
I slept on mostly my left side, since the pain was on the right.
Maybe that shifted the babys position!?!

School aka work starts back up next week.
Not looking forward to less sleep and getting up early,
but I do miss everyone!

It is kind of chilly this morning.
I bet the hot weather comes back once school begins.
That will stink.

Welp.
Until next time...

Can we say BUSY?

Well, I am finished with my first graduate online class. pretty sure I got an A.
I didn't get to check my last grade in the class before it was shut off.
I have been that busy.

The Great Darke County Fair has begun!
I went the first day - Friday, aka Cheerleading Contest!
I helped out the TV Cheerleaders.
PeeWee received 1st,
Jr. High 3rd
and HS 3rd.
They did fantastic!

Got completely sunburnt!
I am peeling right now :/

Went Friday night again with my family for some fair food.
Got my fill of breadsticks, philly steak-n-cheese, strawberry lemonade shake-ups, and fiske fries!

Saturday - went back to the fair with some friends/family from Toledo.
Our sons got a chance to ride the rides, ponies and around in the wagon together.
It was a great day.

Got to eat a Bowman's Texas tenderloin that day,
Mmm...

Sunday - back to the fair once again. This time it was for the Justin Moore & Lady Antebellum concert!!
Talk about AMAZING!!
Went a little early, ate some Hawaiian food.
Noodles & egg rolls were AWESOME!
We had track seating in the back row on the far side,
but we upgraded our seats to FRONT!
My brother & I decided to walk down front and we stood
closest to Lady A as you could get ;)
Got to touch Charles' hand!
Great concert.
Great night.

I haven't been back since.
We have had a busy weekend.
Now time to recuperate.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am getting completely excited for the upcoming Great Darke County Fair! If you have never been, you should check it out. It is one of the largest county fairs in the world and there is always something exciting going on. On Sunday, we are going to see Lady Antebellum with special guest Justin Moore perform there. Tickets sold out sooooo quickly; 2 hours and they were gone :/
So we feel very lucky to have some.

First of all, the cheerleading competition is friday at 11am. I am so excited. I am sad though as well because I have been coaching for the past 4 years and this is the first year I have given it up. I had a full load on my plate, so coaching was the thing I had to drop from my schedule. But you better believe I will be cheering on my tiger cheerleaders. I haven't been completely left out of the loop because I have been helping my home high school with the competition routine. I usually help the tumblers. I have an extensive background with tumbling and spotting and coaching, so it helps! I am going up with them to the competition, so I will probably still be busy and will feel like I am part of a squad at least :)

I am excited to take my son up on Saturday to see some of my family who is coming down from Toledo. We will probably let them look at the animals and ride the ponies.

I am so excited to eat some fair food. I have been walking a mile each day on my treadmill, so I think it will be okay for me to indulge in some fatty, fair food :) I plan on getting some breadsticks, philly steak and cheese sandwich, strawberry-lemonade shakeup, fiske fries, and a funnel cake, I will probably have much more, but those are at the top of my list of things to eat while I can!

My pregnancy is going well. I have another appointment on Monday. I love to hear the baby's heartbeat! It seems like it is going so slow, but once I get back to work after fair, then I am sure it will go fast. I am 14 weeks and 2 days today. At least I am in the 2nd trimester.

The family issues I mentioned in the last post, have subsided, but I have not had the chance to voice my opinion any further. I just figure that when you talk to a brick wall, it does not respond, so I am wasting my time and energy on someone useless. I know things will never be the same but when you bottle up feelings and you have a chance to release them, it feels so good! I just wish people would take full responsibility for their actions and have a valid reason behind them or just say sorry when they are just wrong. Oh well, you cannot change others, but you can decide yourself how you would react in similar situations and can learn from other people's mistakes.

I hope to see lots of you out and about at the Darke County Fair this week and enjoy some fair food and fun!

Weekend Fun!

We have had a great weekend so far.

Friday night we ate with my brother, his fiance, and his friend at El Rodeo, the best Mexican place EVER!! I had to get my regular, chicken chimichangas! You can never go wrong ordering those. Got my treadmill in the front room and walked a mile on it.

Saturday we made our regular grocery trip to Meijer, got some good deals. Planned on swimming but the rain ruined those plans, so we went to visit some of my husbands family and then my husband got his haircut. His cousin cuts his hair and her daughter and my son are only 5 weeks apart and they had a BLAST! They play so well together. It is so fun to listen to them talk and interact. Two-year olds are hilarious!

Hope tomorrow goes well also, have a great weekend everyone :)

So there has been a lot happening lately in my life. The details I do not wish to share but the general idea I will.

So we have this family member, not on my side of the family, not blood related to any of us, but unfortunately is in the family who cannot seem to leave her/his ego-centric selfish ways. This person has no heart and no sense of what SHOULD be important in life. I have tried to talk to this person with honestly, I am sure that the truth hurts sometimes, but someone has to dish it out. Might as well be me.

The sad part is that it effects not just myself and this person but other family members as well because this person cannot be honest and upfront with me. Talk about beat around the bush, because that is what he/she does all the time. Honesty is not in his/her vocabulary. All I ask is for the honest truth because that is what I gave, and yet, this person cannot reciprocate.

It is all I can do just to get it off my chest. Most family members that I have talked to, completely agree with my side of the story. I have read comments that both sides have written and yet, it seems to be the majority of the votes, my side.

I would just hope that if there was something I was doing or how I was being perceived was somewhat less than perfect, that a true friend or family member would tell me. I love honesty, I know it hurts sometimes, but honesty is the key.

Honesty=respect.

PS. Just bought a treadmill, hoping to get a little exercise with this pregnancy, I think the 50 lbs. weight gain was a little much last time, I am hoping to cut that in half this time since I am still about 10-15lbs. overweight (well weight above my original pre-baby body size).

PSS. Fair time is quickly approaching, which means back to work, back to school :( I am sad to see it come but I do love the fair. I am going to be able to see Justin Moore & Lady Antebellum at the fair as well as eat some great fair food such as Shive's bread-sticks, Fiske Fries, Strawberry-lemonade shake-ups, Funnel cakes, and the list goes on and on. I definitely will need that treadmill!!
